BUCKEYE – Site work is underway on the first phase of development for Abrazo Health’s new medical campus in Buckeye, Arizona. The 27-acre campus will include medical offices, ambulatory services and an acute care hospital.

Abrazo’s medical campus at Verrado Way and Interstate 10 is in an area that is booming with new development including commercial, retail and other services.

The first phase of development will be a three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building. Tenants are slated to include cardiology, orthopedics, spine, primary care and urology physician practices, physical therapy and other offices.

Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn, Abrazo West Campus CEO Hans Driessnack and Chief of Staff Dr. Deepanshu Garg, and Abrazo Health CEO Brian Elisco recently toured the campus site where grading is underway.

“Buckeye is looking forward to Abrazo’s expansion in the city,” said Mayor Eric Orsborn. “Their commitment and investment in our community will create good, quality jobs closer to home for our residents and help fill the healthcare gap for the area.”

Abrazo Health officials anticipate that the Buckeye medical campus at Verrado Way will be a healthcare anchor for the area and a driver of economic activity.

“We are excited to see the continued strong interest in our new medical campus. As a long-term partner of Buckeye, we have seen and felt the rapid growth of this area, as well as clearly heard the needs of residents, physicians, and our civic partners,” said Hans Driessnack, CEO of Abrazo West Campus.
