Hi everyone!  I’m Jared Johns, an Arizona native and proud member of the Abrazo family. Born in Tucson, I moved up here to Phoenix when I was 2 years old and have stuck around the valley ever since. I received my bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at Arizona State University and stayed at ASU to complete my masters in the same field in 2020. During that time I was involved in Diabetes research and worked as a medical scribe in the emergency room. After that I attended Midwestern University in Glendale, where I really fell in love with emergency medicine and all things critical care.

I am thrilled to be joining Abrazo for my residency training, and really appreciate the spirit of collaboration and commitment to patient care that Abrazo embodies. My educational interests include sports medicine, acute cardiac care, ultrasound, and trauma.  On my off days you’ll find me hiking one of the mountain trails here in Arizona (except during the summer), or at home reading fiction or watching shows with my wife Jennifer.
