Bryson Becker, DO
Hi, my name is Bryson, and I'm thrilled to be joining the emergency medicine residency program at Abrazo.
I was born and raised in the state of Arizona where I completed my undergraduate degree as a Sun Devil. While in school I had the opportunity to scribe at a local emergency department which peaked my interest in medicine. This ultimately led me to Arkansas for medical school.
Despite loving my initial exposure to EM as a scribe, I had planned to pursue a career in anesthesiology. This, however, quickly changed during my fourth-year core rotation in the ED. I fell in love with the breadth of practice, challenging pace, and mix of procedural work. The sense of community among both staff and patients was stronger than I had experienced on any other rotation, and ultimately cemented my decision to switch specialties part way through fourth year.
Outside of work/school, I love spending time traveling and getting outdoors. I’m happiest when up in the mountains or out somewhere on a beach. Please don’t make me chose between the two. When I can’t travel I enjoy exploring live music and the local food scene. I'm excited to be back in the valley and can't wait to see what the future holds for this program!
