El programa del Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital mantiene a los pacientes sanos

El Instituto para la Insuficiencia Cardíaca Congestiva utiliza el trabajo en equipo para brindar atención

PHOENIX (2 de abril de 2019) – El Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital abrió su Instituto para la Insuficiencia Cardíaca Congestiva y Centro Cardiorrenal en el otoño de 2017 con el objetivo de mantener fuera del hospital al creciente número de pacientes con insuficiencia cardíaca. La insuficiencia cardíaca es una afección crónica y progresiva en la que el músculo cardíaco no puede bombear suficiente sangre para satisfacer las necesidades de sangre y oxígeno del cuerpo.

La atención en el Instituto para la Insuficiencia Cardíaca Congestiva y Centro Cardiorrenal está a cargo de un equipo multidisciplinario que incluye cardiólogos y nefrólogos (especialistas que se ocupan de las enfermedades que afectan a los riñones), farmacéuticos, nutricionistas, personal de rehabilitación cardíaca y un enfermero navegador de insuficiencia cardíaca que actúa como enlace para los pacientes, ayudándolos a regular sus medicamentos, controlar sus afecciones y educarlos sobre los cambios en el estilo de vida que pueden hacer para vivir más tiempo y más saludables.
