Hammad Amer MD, RPVI, is a board-certified vascular surgery specialist at American Vascular Specialists in Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Amer performs a wide variety of vascular procedures, including aneurysm repair, balloon angioplasty, carotid endarterectomy, lower extremity bypass, limb salvage and preservation, and peripheral arterial bypass. He’s highly skilled in both traditional surgical techniques and cutting-edge treatments using the latest minimally invasive technology.
Dr. Amer earned his medical degree at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, followed by a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Texas in Houston, Texas. Dr. Amer is board-certified and is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI).
In addition to his work as a surgeon, Dr. Amer serves as a clinical assistant professor in the surgery department at the University of Arizona in Phoenix. He previously worked as an assistant professor at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
